Crowds Flock to Redditch

for the 2025 Classic Car Show

Redditch town centre was buzzing with energy this weekend as visitors from near and far came together to enjoy the 2025 Redditch Classic Car Show. The streets were filled with pride, passion and a brilliant display of motoring history that captured the attention of all ages.

From the moment the first cars arrived, there was a steady flow of people exploring the displays, chatting with owners and taking photos of vehicles that brought back decades of memories. It was a proper feelgood day in Redditch, and one that showed exactly what happens when the community comes together.

A Centrepiece That Stopped People in Their Tracks

Right in the heart of the Kingfisher Centre sat the standout attraction of the day – the 1992 Benetton Formula 1 car, once driven by Michael Schumacher. This incredible piece of motorsport history became the show’s most photographed feature, with people queuing up for a closer look.  It wasn’t just about the car. It was about seeing something that iconic in such an everyday setting. Moments like this give people a reason to come into town, to stop, to talk, and to take notice of what’s happening on their doorstep.  We’d like to give a huge thank you to Kingfisher for allowing us to host the Benetton inside the centre. It looked absolutely phenomenal and gave the event a real sense of occasion.

The Line-Up

This year’s line-up brought together a fantastic mix of vehicles from across the decades. From British classics to some early motorsport favourites, every car had its own story. And it wasn’t just the cars that got attention.

Among the standout entries were a number of Royal Enfield motorbikes, which were especially meaningful to see back in Redditch, the town where they were once produced. Their presence felt like a nod to the town’s industrial heritage and brought a smile to many who remembered the name from their own family history.

We also had a fine selection of BSA bikes, built just up the road in Small Heath, Birmingham. Their inclusion added to the Midlands flavour of the day and made for some brilliant conversations between generations of bike lovers.

There were also some beautifully preserved classic police cars, sparking plenty of conversations and memories, especially among those who remember seeing them on the roads years ago. Visitors were able to take a close look, ask questions, and chat to the owners who were more than happy to share the history behind them.

    Built on Partnership

Events like this don’t happen on their own. We want to say a sincere thank you to Shakespeare Rally Promotions who worked with us to make the Redditch Classic Car Show the success it was.

Their knowledge, attention to detail and tireless work behind the scenes made sure the cars were presented perfectly and the day ran smoothly from start to finish. From organising the line-up to helping with logistics and visitor experience, they played a key role in delivering a proper town centre event.

It was great to work alongside them once again and deliver something that felt well-organised, safe and welcoming.

    Proper Community Spirit

As well as all the planning, it’s the little acts of generosity that really make the day feel special. A massive thank you goes to Sam, Kacie and Ethan from Tesco who kindly donated 500 bottles of water to help keep visitors and volunteers refreshed throughout the day. A simple gesture, but one that made a big difference.

We also want to thank the many local businesses who kept their doors open, welcomed new customers and joined in the buzz of the day. Events like this help bring new footfall into the town and give people a reason to shop local, stop for a coffee or just enjoy the town centre.

    A Day to Remember

It wasn’t a scorching summer’s day or a blazing heatwave. It was just a genuinely nice day in Redditch. The weather held, the crowds came, and there was a real sense of pride in the air.

People took their time walking the streets, chatting with vehicle owners, sharing memories, and soaking in the atmosphere. Whether you came with your kids, your camera, or just fancied a walk through town, there was something to enjoy.

For the owners, it was a chance to share their passion. For the visitors, it was a chance to step into the past. And for the town, it was another reminder of what can happen when we pull together and create something worth showing off.

    Share Your Photos

We’ve included some of our own favourite moments from the day below, but we know there are loads more out there. If you’ve taken any photos you’re happy to share, we’d love to see them.

Tag us @RedditchBID on Facebook or Instagram and show us what you saw through your lens. Whether it’s a snapshot of your favourite car or a picture of the town full of life, we’ll be sharing some of our favourites in the coming days.

    What’s Next for Redditch?

The Redditch Classic Car Show might be over for this year, but there’s still loads to look forward to in the town centre.

Next up is Titan the Robot, live inside the Kingfisher on Saturday 31 May. If you’ve never seen him before, expect laughs, big reactions and an experience like no other. It’s fun, interactive, and perfect for families.

Then we’re heading straight into the summer with Redditch SummerFest on Saturday 5 July, bringing live music, street food and big community energy back to the town centre. It’s shaping up to be a brilliant afternoon with something for all ages.

Looking further ahead, we’ll be celebrating local talent at the Redditch Business Awards, and bringing back the chills and thrills this autumn with the return of ScareFest—our town centre Halloween experience.

There’s plenty happening, and it’s all about making Redditch feel vibrant, exciting and proud to be part of.
