Community Action Day Comes to Redditch – Join Us in Making a Difference

Redditch BID is proud to be partnering with Make Britain Beautiful to launch the very first Community Action Day in Redditch – a community-led initiative bringing together residents, businesses and volunteers to help create a cleaner, greener and more welcoming town centre. Taking place on Saturday 25th July, volunteers will meet at 10:00am outside Acts of Kindness, 24 Church Green East, before splitting into teams to carry out a range of improvement projects around Church Green and the surrounding area. Working Together for a Better Town Centre The event will focus on practical improvements that will have an immediate impact, including:  �� Weeding around Church Green and the Redditch Foodbank car park  �� Litter picking across Church Green and surrounding streets  �� Cleaning public signs to brighten the town centre  �� Helping improve green spaces and creating a more welcoming environment Whether you can spare an hour or stay for the whole morning, every helping hand will make a difference. Why Redditch BID is Supporting the Initiative Creating a cleaner, safer and more attractive town centre is one of Redditch BID's core priorities. Community Action Day perfectly supports our ongoing work to enhance the visitor experience, encourage civic pride and support local businesses. When residents, businesses and organisations work together, we create a town centre that people are proud to visit, shop in and enjoy. This initiative also complements the wider improvements and events delivered by Redditch BID throughout the year, helping to strengthen community pride and encourage greater public involvement in caring for our town centre. What to Bring If you have them, volunteers are encouraged to bring:  Gardening gloves  Litter pickers  Buckets Cloths or towels  Any useful gardening equipment Don't worry if you don't have any equipment - you are still very welcome to take part. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear.
