Interactive Bees Experience Promises Buzz For Your Senses
A new interactive experience about bees is coming to Kingfisher, Redditch for four days at the start of the school summer holidays.
‘Miracle of the Bees’ is a free, interactive, multi-sensory experience designed to delight and fascinate visitors of all ages from 19-22 July.
The event has been co-created by young people from Imaan Youth Club, artists Vortex Creates and Reimagine Redditch and will be based inside the old Farm Foods Store, near the new ‘tenpin’ bowling, on the lower ground floor of Kingfisher, Redditch. Together, they are transforming the space to connect and inspire people through bold, joyful and memorable experiences.
The event includes different sections to experience and move through. Vortex specialise in creating vibrant, dynamic and visually immersive experiences, changing ordinary spaces into unforgettable encounters. So, visitors can expect something they’ve never enjoyed before.
‘Miracle of the Bees’ is the culmination of The Bee Creative project, a collaboration between Imaan Youth Club and Reimagine Redditch, which has seen children at the youth club working with different artists to explore the themes of ‘bees’ through graffiti, textiles, Islamic geometric patterns, calligraphy, glass painting, architecture, model making and set design.
Sadiya Ashiq, from Imaan Youth Club, said: “Exploring the theme of bees through art has been a beautiful way for our young people to connect their faith with creativity. Surah An-Nahl reminds us of the wisdom and purpose found in nature, and this project allowed our children to reflect on that in fun, meaningful ways. We're proud to see their ideas come to life in a public space and to share this joyful experience with the wider Redditch community.”
