Redditch in Full Bloom
Alcester Street Gets a Colourful Makeover
The flowers are in, and Alcester Street is looking beautiful.
Working in partnership with Redditch Borough Council, we have transformed seven planting bays outside Threadneedle House into something really special. A rich and varied mix including rhododendrons, hydrangeas, camellias, foxgloves, Japanese anemones, geraniums, heucheras, hostas, brunnera, ajuga, and vinca minor are now in the ground and already making a real difference to that stretch of the street.
What made this project extra special was the support we received from local businesses. Shipways, The Post Office, The Loft, and Lamberts all came out to get involved and help with the planting alongside Redditch Borough Council. It was a brilliant example of businesses and the council rolling their sleeves up together for the good of the town. The council will be maintaining the bays going forward, keeping Alcester Street looking its best.
Making Redditch town centre a place people genuinely want to spend time in is at the heart of what we do. The look and feel of our streets matters. First impressions matter. And when a town centre is well kept and welcoming, it benefits everyone, from the businesses trading here to the visitors coming in for the day.
If you are passing through Alcester Street, take a look. It is looking brilliant.
