Redditch is About to Bloom
Something a little bit special arrived in Redditch town centre today.
Working in partnership with Redditch Borough Council, Redditch Business Improvement District has taken on five planting bays on Alcester Street, outside Threadneedle House, and today the flowers were delivered. From this week, those bays will be filled with a carefully chosen mix of plants including rhododendrons, hydrangeas, camellias, foxgloves, Japanese anemones, geraniums, and much more besides.
Redditch Borough Council have given us the green light to use the bays and will be planting and maintaining everything going forward. It is a great example of what can be achieved when organisations work together for the benefit of the town.
This is part of our ongoing work to make Redditch town centre a place people genuinely want to spend time in. A welcoming, attractive street environment makes a difference, not just to visitors passing through, but to the businesses trading here every day and to the people who call Redditch home.
Watch this space. Once everything is planted and in place, we think it is going to look brilliant.
