The Countdown Is On: Redditch Christmas Lights Switch-On Is Nearly Here
We’re only days away from one of the most festive nights of the year in Redditch, and the excitement is really starting to build. On Saturday 29 November, Market Place will transform into the heart of Christmas in Redditch, with an evening full of music, performances and that special moment when the lights finally switch on for the season.
This year, Father Christmas will be flying in straight from the North Pole especially for Redditch. He’ll be joining us on stage to help lead the countdown and switch on the lights, standing side by side with our headline act, Gareth Gates. It’s set to be a proper festive moment for the whole town.
A Full Evening of Live Entertainment
We’ve put together a brilliant line-up to keep things lively right through the evening, showcasing great talent and giving families plenty to enjoy before the big moment arrives.

17:15 – Mitch Loveridge
A warm, lively performance to kick off the evening.
17:45 – Lights Switch-On
Father Christmas and Gareth Gates will hit the button together and officially light up Redditch for Christmas.
18:00 – Choir by The Big Sing

18:10 – Shaun Paul Smith Dance Academy
High-energy routines from brilliant local performers.
18:20 – Indigo Arts and The Violets
A fantastic group bringing colour, creativity and festive music to the stage.
18:35 – Top Box
Keeping the energy high with a lively musical set.
18:50 – Palace Theatre Pantomime Cast
A cheerful visit from the panto stars to bring some Christmas fun.
19:00 – Taylor Swift Tribute
A crowd-pleasing performance that’s guaranteed to get people singing along.
19:30 – Gareth Gates
A headline performance from one of the UK’s most recognisable voices.
20:00 – Finish
